Perception and Health

This course will explore the latest research, in neuroscience of trauma, mind and Health, with a Biodynamic View.

Health has been seen as an intricate guiding Wisdom of the osteopathic lineage conveyed by Dr Still, Dr Sutherland, Dr Becker, Dr Wales and Dr Jealous.

‘Perception and Health’ is designed to be an interactive and practical course to identify and witness the integration of different aspects of mind and body, when sensing the attributes of the Health.

Three aspects of diagnosis will also be discussed

The significance of Joseph Campbell’s Hero’s Journey and Jung’s Stages of Life, will also illustrate this perceptual journey of the mind, finding meaning and purpose, as one’s perception of the Health evolves.

By the end of the course the osteopath will:

  • have an understanding of 3 aspects of diagnosis, their clinical relevance and outcome.
  • Be able to help patients be aware of the Health, identify different aspects of mind and the somatic response.
  • Witness the emergence of adaptability, integration and resilience.
  • sense different attributes of the Health to spatially reorganise posture and restore wellbeing.

Please note the new start time, of 8.30 am on Friday and finishing time of 6pm in Sunday to enable the new format of a 3 day course, with 20 CPD hours. Saturday afternoon will be free to integrate the curriculum, process the treatments and be in nature.
