Kristin I Thom D.O.

About Kristin I Thom D.O.

I have an Osteopathic Manual Medicine specialty practice in Vallejo, California, where I am also an Adjunct Professor in the OMM department at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine. I table train in the OMM lab and precept in the student learning clinic.

The breadth of my Family Medicine training informs my OMM practice. My special interests lie in conditions during pregnancy, infancy, childhood and adolescence. I also enjoy and have extensive experience in treating adults of all ages with acute and chronic pain, neurologic, immunologic, and visceral conditions. End-of-life palliative care is dear to me.

I have a varied and rewarding background. Following my graduation from residency in 2002, I practiced full-scope family medicine in the rural towns of Blue Hill and Bucksport, Maine. My work included outpatient, inpatient, obstetrics, emergency department, nursing home, and home visit care. In 2011, I turned my attention to academics, taking a faculty position at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, Maine. I taught medical students, family medicine residents, and OMM Plus One residents.

I then moved to Wichita, Kansas, where I worked as the Chief Medical Office at an FQHC and IHS clinic. I then transitioned into a private OMM specialty practice until my move to California in 2022.
