The philosophy, principles and practice of Osteopathy are as vast as the cosmos.

Please join us as we explore these deep and subtle natural healing forces so that we can increase our Osteopathic perception, skills and abilities together.

This course is like no other. With a typical instructor to student ratio of 1:2, it is nearly impossible to avoid learning new ways of being and new ways of treating each other and our patients.

Designed to benefit both those who are new and those who are experienced with this approach, BioBasics presents an atmosphere of acceptance, welcoming, sharing and gratitude for all.

Osteopathic students, interns, residents and practicing osteopaths and physicians are most welcome to submit a registration form. The course will be taught in both French and English with translation both ways.

Tadoussac, a village of 900 people, is located in the tourist region of the North coast, in Quebec, at a maritime crossroads made up of the St. Lawrence Seaway and the Saguenay Fjord.  August is the height of whale season with many different species frequenting the area.  The hotel overlooks these water for viewing and there is also the opportunity to get closer in boats.  We will have an afternoon off to explore the wonders of the whales.  We hope that you’ll enjoy having time with the whales, we wish you that they all be there each species so be positive wait for them all!!!  Because sometimes they’re all there.

During the summer it can be very warm but also fresh so don’t forget a good wool sweater and a trench if you want to go watch the whales in a zodiac, but usually there’s a very nice breeze that softly blows on Tadoussac.

We’ll be in the highest season of the year so there will be a lot of people in the restaurants and at the village, if you want to eat at the hotel Tadoussac reserve soon, the dining room has 156 seats (some have view on the fleuve) a lot of people reserve each year even if they don’t stay at the Hotel.

About the BioBasics Program:

The BioBasics program has been designed to offer an educational experience on the foundational principles in Osteopathy to medical students and residents at a reasonable cost.  Additionally, many physicians have also taken advantage of this wonderful educational opportunity. Our intent is to create a dynamic living curriculum, which reflects the principles of Osteopathy in a general practice setting.

BioBasics offers a transitional methodology for the Biodynamic approach from Osteopathy in the Cranial Field, as we explore these principles together in both the lecture and practical session formats. The course is also designed with a gentle tempo that allows ample time for rest and recreation. We are gratified to have this opportunity to welcome you to become part of an Osteopathic community that is devoted to keeping Traditional Osteopathy alive through exploration, devotion and service.

Our faculty is comprised of DOs and MDs from all over the world. This group volunteers their time for the course and have functioned as a community invested in the teaching of Osteopathy in our schools, hospitals, and national organizations for many years. This course provides a unique opportunity for mentoring with its teacher to participant ratio of 1:2. All of the faculty at this course are oriented to the general practice of Osteopathy and are fully trained in Biodynamics.

Soyez des nôtre lorsque nous explorerons ces forces de guérison naturelle profondes et subtiles, afin d’approfondir ensemble notre perception et nos habiletés Ostéopathiques.

Ce cours est sans pareil. Typiquement le ratio instructeur-étudiant est de 1:2, il est presque impossible d’éviter d’apprendre de nouvelles façons d’être et de nouvelles façons de se traiter et traiter nos patients.

Ce cours est conçu pour bénéficier les nouveaux et les anciens qui sont expérimentés avec cette approche. Le cours de base présente une atmosphère d’acceptation accueillant le partage et la gratitude pour tous.

Tous étudiants, internes, résidents, ostéopathes et médecin sont les bienvenues. Le cours sera donné en français et en anglais avec traductions simultanées. Tous sont bienvenues.

Tadoussac est un village de 900 résidents, situé dans la région touristique de la Côte Nord du Québec à la croisée du Fleuve St. Laurent et le Fiord du Saguenay. Le mois d’Aout est le pic de la saison des baleines. Plusieurs espèces fréquente la région. L’hôtel surplombe ces eaux pour les observer et il y a aussi la possibilité d’y aller plus prêt en bateau. Nous aurons une après-midi de libre pour explorer les merveilles des baleines. Nous souhaitons que ce temps avec les baleines vous sera agréable. Nous souhaitons aussi que plusieurs espèces soient présents alors soyez positifs et attendons-les!!! Car, parfois ils sont tous là.

Pendant l’été il peut faire plutôt chaud mais frais aussi alors amenez un bon chandail de laine et un coupe-vent si vous voulez aller voir les baleines en zodiac, mais habituellement il y a une très belle brise qui souffle sur Tadoussac.

Nous y serons pendant la haute saison hors il y aura beaucoup de monde aux restaurants et dans le village. Si vous souhaitez manger à l’hôtel faites vos réservations bientôt car la salle a manger n’a que 156 places ( certaines avec vue sur le fleuve) et beaucoup de gens réservent chaque année même s’ils sont que de passage à l’hôtel.

Au Sujet du Programme du Cours de Base

Aux Etats-Unis le Biobasic se produit une fois l’an, depuis plus de 25 ans, il nous offre la possibilité d’explorer ces forces de guérisons naturelles, subtiles et profondes pour que nous puissions augmenter nos perceptions osthéopatiques, nos talents et nos habiletés ensemble.

Avec tous les membres de la faculté présents au Biobasic, cela représente un groupe important d’ostéopathes pleinement entraînés en Biodynamique. À cause du groupe de tous les professeurs et de toutes les « table trainers » à chaque table, vous allez expérimenter davantage et

vous allez aussi faire l’expérience de vivre dans le lit du « Fleuve St-Laurent » avec la marée, souvenez-vous que l’eau devient salée à Montmagny.

Vous serez probablement capable avec vos «table trainers » de percevoir différents niveaux de Neutre, la Santé, le Tide ou la Dynamic Stillness et pourquoi pas « The sea around us » et l’océan en nous… Essayons tous ensemble.

Alors, go go go, venez avec nous, s’il vous plaît faites un petit effort, sautez dans vos voitures ou dans l’avion, joignez-vous à nous et montez à bord comme( Madame) Dr. Wales le disait si bien lorsqu’elle nous enseignait.
