Dr. Gibbons began his journey into Osteopathic medicine as an undergraduate at University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where he designed his own major in Holistic Health. This led him to pursue a degree in Osteopathic Medicine at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine from which he graduated in 2008.  He completed his residency at Maine Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency Program, followed by Neuromusculoskeletal Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Residency Fellowship at University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2012. He began his study of the Biodynamics of Osteopathy with Dr. Jealous in 2008 and continued to train directly with Dr. Jealous including table-training for his courses until 2020.  Dr. Gibbons is board certified in Family Medicine, Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine, and Integrative Medicine.

Dr. Gibbons has served as assistant professor at University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine where he also served as Clinical Advisor to the Undergraduate Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Fellows.  Dr. Gibbons currently practices with Jacey Goddard, DO at their private practice, Rivertree Osteopathic Health in Topsham, Maine.  He continues to serve as adjunct faculty for UNECOM, welcoming medical students to gain clinical experience in the application of Traditional Osteopathy.  Dr. Gibbons has served as faculty in Introductory courses for Biodynamics of Osteopathy (BioBasics) in New England and Brazil.  He has also served as faculty for several Pediatric Biodynamic courses in Brazil.  Dr. Gibbons enjoys playing music, kayaking, hiking, and beekeeping.
