Jacey Goddard, DO has been practicing Traditional Osteopathic medicine since 2001. Dr. Goddard received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, West Virginia in 2001. In 1997 as a first-year medical student, she met Dr. Jealous at her first Biodynamics of Osteopathy introductory course and she knew her life as an osteopath would be forever changed. She continued to work and study with him until 2020. As a medical student, she completed an Undergraduate Teaching Fellowship where she taught students, took additional courses in visceral and cranial osteopathy, studied and worked hands-on with many well-known osteopathic mentors, and table trained at 40-hour Basic Cranial courses. She completed her Residency in Family Medicine and her Fellowship in Neuromusculoskeletal/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, Maine and is Board Certified in Family Medicine, Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, and Integrative Medicine. She has also served as Faculty Physician at Eastern Maine Medical Center including Clinical Instructor of Family Medicine for Tufts School of Medicine. As the Program Director of the Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Fellowship Program at Eastern Maine Medical Center, she supervised training of resident physicians and medical students in the clinic and hospital in the treatment of newborns, anatomy dissections, didactics, and lectures. She later served as Faculty Preceptor at Maine Medical Center Integrative Medicine Fellowship Program.
In 2011 she moved to private practice in mid-coast Maine where her primary focus has been on serving patients in their journey to Health. Dr. Goddard shares Rivertree Osteopathic Health in Topsham, Maine with Daniel Gibbons, DO. She continues to welcome medical students from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine as well as residents and fellows from various programs for rotations and experience. Dr. Goddard loves expanding one’s perceptual awareness and relationship to the beauty of Osteopathy shared with us by Dr. Still, Dr. Sutherland, and Dr. Jealous. She cares deeply about the Osteopathic profession and has served in the Osteopathic International Alliance since 2012. Over the years she has lectured and table trained at many courses including Biodynamics of Osteopathy introductory courses (BioBasics) in New England and Brazil as well as Pediatric Biodynamic courses in Brazil. Dr. Goddard enjoys gardening, cross-country skiing, and spending time in the natural world.
