Description

Please check back for course availability.

This is a three-part anatomy discussion with both lecture and practical sessions.

The material is based on the work of AT Still D.O., William Sutherland, D.O. and research done over the last fifty years by James Jealous D.O. to clarify the specifics of involuntary tissue motions under the influence of Thoracic and Primary respiration, and give the student an understanding of living functional anatomy.

The philosophical basis of the course is Dr. Still’s clear message that our skill is dependent upon our awareness of normal.

There will be slides presented that have been created specifically for the purpose of supporting a greater understanding of Osteopathy in the Cranial Field as envisioned by Dr.Sutherland and the anatomy that Dr. Still envisioned.

The purpose of the course, in addition to the obvious, is to markedly increase our diagnostic skills and therapeutic effectiveness.

The biodynamic and biokinetic embryological forces will be presented to show the emergence of form and function as we grow and develop. The fulcrum for specific functions will be considered and approached as a doorway to reorganization of compromised tissue, physiology, and shape.  We hope to convey that embryological forces are present throughout life as part of the indwelling therapeutic forces as discussed by Still and Sutherland in their work.

The course environment will be one of ease in community with respect and appreciation for the Tide.
