Neural Reorganization and Autonomic Balance: Nervous System Part 2
William Foley D.O., M.Sc

The nervous system lies at the heart of health, influencing digestion, mood, hormonal balance, immunity, cognition, and sleep. This course continues an in-depth exploration of the central, autonomic, and enteric nervous systems through the traditional principles of osteopathy as taught by Dr. A.T. Still, Dr. William G. Sutherland, and Dr. James Jealous. Rather than emphasizing mechanical techniques, participants will cultivate Conscious Listening and cooperation with the natural laws of health and healing “not framed by human hands.” Through Primary Respiration and the Dynamic Stillness, we will witness how the nervous system continually reorganizes, restores, and renews itself through the Breath of Life. This course invites participants into a deeper relationship with the living Intelligence of the nervous system and the organizing forces that sustain health.

Together we will explore Conscious Listening and the state of Neutral, the facilitation of autonomic balance, the cochlear-vestibular organs, craniometrics and the “Bosses,” the cranio-cervical junction and vagus nerve, and the fluid fields that support neural organization. As perception deepens, participants will learn to cooperate with the inherent Creative Forces that restore vitality and health, discovering ever more profound expressions of the Tide. As Sutherland encouraged, “Trust the Tide.”

Pre-requisites: Applicants are recommended to have completed Biodynamics Phase 3 (or higher). Nervous System Part 1 is not a prerequisite, and all Nervous System courses may be taken in any order.
